First, let me say to all of Sunny's avid readers that I am truly sorry it has been so long since I have done anything on his website. Life has been a whirlwind this last year with both so many good times and also so many bad times. I just never can find a moment to sit down and update everyone on Sunny's life. |

Sunny has done wonderful since his surgery. I have gotten so many emails from people asking how he was doing. I tried my hardest to get out all the thanks you's for the donations he received for his surgery. If somehow you got skipped please let me say that no one went forgotten. All of your names have been forever engraved in my heart and mind. I enjoyed all the pictures and stories you sent of your own bulls. THANK YOU EVERYONE for letting Sunny continue to live and not let his wonderful spirit die. Without your donations financially we would not have been able to save him. So I am forever in debt to all of you! Hopefully, one day in the near future I will be able to pay it forward. For now his surgery is a distant memory in our minds but it has made us much wiser. We watch him even more carefully now. He is very healthy now...too healthy really to the point he has put on a little too much weight. He is tipping the scales at 70lbs. If we only had the money we would get him one of those doggie treadmills! Sigh. Summer is here in Tennessee in full force and it is hot...blazing hot. Sunny doesn't seem to mind at all. His favorite thing to do is to lie in the sun on the turf we have put on the patio. We put this down for him because he is not able to enjoy the coolness of the grass due to his terrible allergies. He seems to like it just as well. His allergies have been pretty bad this year. He is on a constant round of antibiotics which seems to be the only thing that helps it at all. Other than lying in the sun, he basically has gotten sper lazy. Maybe once a day he jumps up and does his crazy bull run through the house, but most of the time he just sleeps. I never would have guessed he would have ever gotten to this stage when I remember back on what a wild pup he was. I am sure most of you are also wondering about my human baby. Would you guys believe that Gwyn is now 16 months old? She is no longer a baby but a walking toddler terror. She is into everything but she is a good listener and doesn't get into too much trouble. She is also the cutest baby in the world and I am not just saying that because I am her mom. Everyone that sees her goes crazy over how cute she is. Gwyn is becoming a lot more interested in her Bully brother. She loves to try and push Sunny around. It's so funny to watch her place her tiny hands on his rump and try to move him out of the way. She loves to count Sunny's nipples...completing each one with a little tug. Sunny could care less; sometimes he grunts and lets out a little fart and Gwyn runs away. She learned that one quick. You don't get near Sunny's butt...or AKA the butt of eternal stench. Sunny likes to chase Gwyn but sometimes he gets a little obnoxious and seems to forget what he is doing and then little Gwyn goes flying through the air. She still hates it when he gets in her face and licks her. She screams and cries and hits him. But that just makes him do it even more. They can by now means be left alone together yet. One hot summer day the hubby and I were outside pilling up the baby pool when we realized we had left Sunny inside unattended. We both rushed inside and couldn't find the beast anywhere. We searched the whole house...even waking the baby so we could check her room. Finally, hubby remembered he had left the garage door opened and our worst fear we thought had come true. We looked and couldn't find him. He was so hot so we came back inside and flopped down heartbroken in the living room. As we devised a plan on what to do next my eyes wandered over to the couch. It looked normal...pillows, throw pillows and my blanket in the middle. Then as I looked closer I noticed that something odd was peeking out of the blanket. Could that be a tail? I couldn't believe it. I said, "Sunny get out of there!" He didn't move. "Sunny what are you doing...get off the couch!" Finally the tail starts to shake and he begins to wiggle his way out of the blanket onto the floor. The second his feet hit the floor he went into a wild huckle all through the house. I couldn't believe it. All of our screaming for him and running wildly all over the house and there he was playing a game of hide and seek. He really was hiding from us. He never ceases to amaze us. Well, it is the Fourth of July which means our family needs to get ready to enjoy the festivites tonight. Since Sunny hates the sound of fireworks he offered to stay home and babysit Gwyn. Just kidding but I can dream right? | |||||||
